At times during the season i and probably most Wolves fans have gone through different emotions due to what's happening and then happened on the pitch. Bristol City and Middlesbrough away and now Cardiff, this Wolves side has again proved why they are top of the league and rarely get beat.
This only my opinion, and it might seem or appear biased, but up until added time and the two penalty awards, Wolves always looked the team likely to score in the game. We created chances, enjoyed quite a lot of the ball, compared to a Cardiff side who were more than happy to lump it forward or rely on set-pieces. I don't knock the way they play or Warnock, his way brings results.
Wolves created enough chances to win by more, Neves, Jota, Bonatini and Costa all spurning decent ones. Wolves also showed right from the off that they wouldn't be bullied with the Coady challenge not far from the dugouts that i expected to set the tone. But Cardiff at times stood off us a lot, while Wolves passed the ball about.
I'm glad Neves's first free-kick in the second half that he skied over wasn't the sign of things to come. His second free-kick gave their keeper no chance.
The five minutes+ added time offered so many talking points, two penalties awarded, as soft as the first one appeared soft, but i can understand why Mike Dean gave it, a credit to Ruddy for the save. The second one, too far away really for me to give an opinion on, but again when it mattered, a a Cardiff penalty taker bottled it.
Fans, pundits and others can talk as much as they want about managers and coaches having class or no class, but emotions run high in games, especially the way ours ended. Nuno shows his emotions, so does his staff and players, so do we as fans.
