The first half was a continuation of where Wolves left off against Ipswich Town on Saturday. Mistakes made, the football like an hot potato that no one wanted and ball given away constantly. Kortney Hause hopefully will get better with age and more games under his belt, but he needs to cut out trying to be too clever on the ball. His mistakes and getting the touch that put MK Dons 1-0 up could have been costly, the run of Maynard didn't help him either.
It's not nice seeing any player going off with what looked like a serious injury, but Zyro's injury just on the stroke of half-time proved to be a big turning point for Wolves. The challenge was late and high and even now i'm shocked the referee didn't send off Kay.
The second half began with Le Fondre on in place of the injured Zyro, and Wolves playing with a front two of Le Fondre and Mason, a positive substitution and one that gave Wolves plenty of options going forward. It enabled the likes of James Henry to see a lot of the ball. Wolves attacked as a team, getting bodies into the penalty area and chances created, in contrast to the first half showing where at times only one player would be in the box when the odd ball was put over.
I'm a fan of James Henry, he can at least get the ball over and also gave Lewington a torrid time in the second half, he was involved in both goals, the first, what a cross for Saville to head in and then his ball in that eventually found Price to score the winner.
A reaction was needed after the first half performance, we got it and it needs to be used as a platform for the Blackburn game. Plenty of positives in the second half, but i can see why MK Dons are where they are and struggling in the championship.
