A good trip up to Huddersfield and a good few hours stop over in Bridghouse, the day only got worse after that having to watch 90+ minutes of two sides that i'd struggle to pick a decent starting eleven from.
Both sides throughout the game guilty of giving the ball back to the opposition and also stringing less than a half a dozen passes together at a time. Just before Byrne had replaced Rowe i would have settled for Wolves taking just a point and to finish the game with the eleven that started.
Creativity in this Wolves side is lacking big time, both Sigurdarson and Mason living off scraps. When chances did comes Wolves way, Saville's deflected effort, Rowe's balls up in front of goal when it mattered was all Wolves could offer bar the disallowed goal.
It's funny how a sub can enter the field as did Byrne and then Wolves concede straight away. People will look at the goal Wolves conceded and point to a failed clearance as the ball is put across from the Wolves right, but i also question Coady in the build up for giving the ball away. At 1-0, there wasn't a way back in it for wolves and the margin of victory could and should have been more, especially the chipped effort from Bunn.
When you are a goal down you often look for inspiration from the head coach and hope to see positive changes, again, as with the Preston defeat, no Adam Le Fondre, or Kevin McDonald at all. There were few times during the game when van La Parra broke through in the central area of the pitch, but like his team-mates he's easily picked off by the opposition. There's not enough steel or leaders on the pitch.
The buck stops with the man picking the side and he and his players deserved all the abuse thrown at them at the end. The highlight of that game was the Wolves fan who ran on the pitch, says it all really about the football on show.
