I'm pleased we came away with a point considering the manner in which both Ipswich goals were scored. Wolves actually started the game the brighter of the two sides with Jordan Graham having joy down the Wolves left hand side in which he created a couple of chances.
The first Ipswich goal Wolves were caught out on the break and Douglas will never get an easier chance than the one he scored to give Ipswich the lead. At 1-0, Wolves could easily have been a couple more goals down with Pitman wasteful in front of goal.
A credit to Wolves for getting back into the game, a scrappy goal if you ask me, and if i followed Ipswich, i wouldn't be happy with the ease in which Henry scored from close range. Set-pieces have to be defended better, but as it went in Wolves favour, the better for us.
Over the season so far, quite a few goals that Wolves have conceded have been through a goalkeeping error, the second Ipswich goal was one where Ikeme should have stayed on his line, he first ventured off his line and couldn't make up the ground with Murphy happy to tap in at the far post, a gift of a goal in my eyes.
Changes were needed and Le Fondre on for Edwards with Afobe playing deeper gave Wolves a more attacking look. I've often said strikers when crossing from the flanks know where to put the ball, Le Fondre certainly did for Afobe's headed equaliser.
Kenny Jackett needs to go with Afobe in the deeper role for the MK Dons game, he looks a lot happier and Wolves also look a different side.
A big plus today was the performance of youngster Jordan Graham, comfortable with both feet and he attacks the full back. His delivery from a couple of free-kicks the only negative, but more game time and his confidence will grow.
Before the introduction of Le Fondre the Wolves performance was littered with mistakes, giving the ball away, passes going wrong and the ball given back to Ipswich. Wolves need to be a bit more physical and not stand off the opposition as much. A better final 20+ minutes after the introduction of Le Fondre.
A good turnout from the Wolves fans, 996 of us.
